Crested Lark -
The Crested Lark is resident in Europe but very rare in the UK.

Crested Tit
The Crested Tit is fairly rare in the UK, being limited to the pine forests
of Scotland. More common in Europe.
Flamingo -
The Flamingo is present in a number of mostly coastal locations in Europe.
Not likely to be seen in Britain outside of a zoo or wildlife park.

Glossy Ibis
The Glossy Ibis is a Summer migrant to Europe from Africa. Occasionally seen in the UK.
Guineafowl
The Guineafowl is really a farmed bird in the UK. Rarely seen in the wild.
Hoopoe -
The Hoopoe is a fairly rare Summer visitor to Britain but is much more common in Europe.
About the same size as a woodpecker it is also a cavity nester. Feeds on worms and insects.

Kildeer
Rare in the UK, the Kildeer looks like a larger, long-legged Ringed Plover. May be found near water on grassy or rocky areas.
Little Tern

Night Heron
The Night Heron is a smaller relative of the Grey Heron not usually seen in the UK.
Osprey
The Osprey is a rare Summer visitor to the UK and a specialised fish hunter.
Purple Heron
The Purple Heron is similar in size and body to the Grey Heron, but rarely seen in the UK.
Purple Swamphen -
The Purple Swamphen is a rare occasional visitor to Britain. Much larger than
Coot or Moorhen. These images taken in Mallorca, Spain.
